Satu Korhonen is a organization researcher specialising in health and social care practices, user-oriented development and best practices research. She works with important issues of our time, such as developing human-centric healthcare and social services, enhancing democratic participation and rethinking education, working life and housing.
Satu is highly experienced community manager and co-creation -project lead. She has lead various multi-stakeholder project in Demos Helsinki (Health2050 in health, Y-Lab in housing) and in the National Institute for Health and Welfare, where Satu was in the core team developing a national open innovation environment called Innovillage for the social and health sector.
Satu designed a user-centric product development education program for professionals. Over 150 professionals have participated. She has a master’s thesis in Political Science (Organisation and Administration) and is currently writing her doctoral thesis on transition of service models in social and health care. She is also a certified product developer.
