Kirsi-Marja Lonkila (M. Soc. Sc.) develops the work on research impact at Demos Helsinki. Her work aims at better science-policy dialogue. She works in several research projects to make the societal interaction and communication in research projects more effective.
Kirsi-Marja’s core competencies are:
– Knowledge of boundaries between science and policy
– Planning and executing interaction activities in research and development projects
– Environmental issues and environmental policy
Kirsi-Marja works especially with STN projects Winland and Blueadapt. Within the project, she helps to find the right stakeholders and channels of impact.

Before Kirsi-Marja has coordinated the work of a science-policy boundary organization Forum for Environmental Information. She has also experience running international city development projects at the Union of the Baltic Cities.
