Katri Mäenpää, Development Manager

Katri Mäenpää (M.Soc.Sci) focuses on strengthening the project processes and the organisational culture of Demos Helsinki in order to create greater impact.

Katri’s core competences include:
- Strengthening the impact of the project work
- Enhancing the processes and knowledge management
- Building international cooperation

Katri is involved in all the projects of Demos Helsinki and ensures the smooth knowledge sharing and the best use of project tools through the organisation. She developes the working processes for a wide range of activities from kicking off projects to running innovation camps to increase impact. Her aim is to make Demos Helsinki even more international.

“I love positive problem-solving. It is great to discover new ways of doing things and to continuously re-think and develop new kinds of solutions to clarify complex and abstract processes. I want to make our processes and projects more inclusive and impactful.”

Prior to Demos Helsinki, Katri worked at Centre for International Mobility and Cooperation CIMO under the Ministry of Education and Culture. Previously she has also been working at UN Women Headquarters in New York, at British Council’s EU Office in Brussels and at Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Helsinki.
